Hagerty’s Drive It Day Tour 2020
About Hagerty’s Drive It Day®
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs’ ‘Drive It Day®’ takes place every year to help raise awareness of the large and important extent of the classic vehicle movement in the UK. It is also an ideal opportunity to raise funds for both local and industry related charities.
The FBHVC exists to uphold the freedom to use historic vehicles on the road. It does this by representing the interests of owners of such vehicles to politicians, government officials and legislators both in the UK and in Europe. It has over 540 subscriber organisations representing total members of over 250,000 in addition to trade and individual supporters.
Hagerty International is pleased to support the Federation with this event, and will once again be hosting its own Drive it Day® celebration. The aim of the day is for everyone to have fun, enjoy the cars, the drive, and the company of like-minded enthusiasts.
The 2020 route will be approximately 80 miles and will take roughly two and a half hours. Each entrant will receive a ‘tulip’ style roadbook, which will start at our Alderton office near to Towcester, where you will be provided with your Rally Plaque and route book. The 2020 route will take you through Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire before arriving at our destination, Bicester Heritage.
Various breakfast options will be available to purchase at the start venue thanks to Bandit Street Food. You will all receive free entry to the Hagerty supported ‘Sunday Scramble’ at Bicester Heritage for the driver and one passenger, where there will be a variety of attractions with trade stands, vintage aircraft and a large number of historic vehicles will be on show.
Subject to the terms printed in this form, car model types manufactured before 1st January 1996 may be entered subject to places being available. There is a limit of 100 cars.
Entry, which has been organised by Hagerty International Limited, is free. However, one of the aims of the day is to raise money for various motor related charities, including the Air Ambulance Charity.
We would respectfully request that each entrant send a minimum of £25 as a donation towards these charities to ensure your entry into the 2020 celebration. Cheques should be made payable to Hagerty International Limited and this will admit two people into Bicester Heritage, any additional passengers should buy tickets direct from Bicester Heritage; these won’t be available on the day!
