VHRA Swap Meet
We’ve often been asked, so here it is, the Vintage Hot Rod Association’s first annual Swap Meet. We’ve chosen a great location for the event, the 1940s Camp in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. It’s a wartime army base that is under restoration, which will serve as an excellent backdrop to the cars and automobilia on sale and display at the event.
Trading and attending is open to members and non-members alike. All we ask is, that if you are selling goods, they relate to traditional hot rods and customs, early Fords, vintage Americana and the lifestyle that goes along with it. As well as the Swap Meet, there will be a show area for vehicles that are pre-1963, and a corral for those that are for sale. If you’re trading from an old vehicle, we’ll knock a tenner off the price of the pitch.
For those that want to arrive early, we’ll be throwing open the doors of the Drill Hall and the NAAFI on Saturday afternoon from 2pm. Camping is available for an overnight stay and included in your pitch fee, so it will be nice and convenient for an early start on Sunday. On Saturday night we’ll be playing some music, the bar will be open and food will be available. There’s also an opportunity for a spot of breakfast in the morning as well.
Although the VHRA are the host club, the event is in association with both the Ford Model A Club and the Early Ford V8 Club, so you can expect a good showing from their members, both trading and displaying their vehicles.
