Milton Keynes Museum

From a sedan chair to Clive Sinclair’s futuristic C5, from a precarious Penny Farthing to a comfortable canal boat, the story of transport is told in this large gallery. Our centrepiece is the enormous tram which used to carry 100 workers from Stony Stratford each day to Wolverton Works.

Look out too for the fascinating collection of bikes through the ages, including the infamous ‘boneshaker’, a lovingly recreated garage mechanic’s shop, and a Romany caravan to try for size.
